Fall Fun Run

Our annual Fun Run is one of our family and community events. The Fun Run is a friendly race that shows our students and families that we care about our physical health while promoting family bonding. Running with your family in the Fun Run instills togetherness and keep each other motivated in a frienly competition. With sponsors and volunteers from around the community (and lots of fun door prizes) this event is always a blast.

Pizza & Planes with Dads 

A Rice favorite, Pizza & Planes is an annual free event held in January where students and fatherly figures (whether that be a dad, uncle, brother, grandparent, or family friend) can come together for a meal and fellowship with others. Students and thier adult will build a paper airplane and then test it's ability in a flight competition against classmates to win prizes.

STEM @ Home Kits

Rice PTA offers take-home STEM kits to our Rice Rangers periodically through the school year! These kits are made of materials and instructions sent home with students as a fun way for families to engage in STEM activities together. The kits will have 2-3 simple activities that spark creativity and learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. 

REcycling

The Students and Faculty at Rice have made a huge impact in helping steward our planet's resources by keeping recyclables out of landfills. A school can produce a massive amount of paper and plastic waste - all of which is reusable! Plus, learning the habits of recycling at school contributes to a lifetime habit of Reducing, Reusing and Recycling. Sponsored by the Rice PTA and in collaboration with our hardworking Rice Rangers, we are reducing our carbon footprint!
