Gingerbread Jog

Our annual Fun Run is one of our family and community events. The Fun Run is a friendly race that shows our students and families that we care about our physical health while promoting family bonding. Running with your family in the Fun Run instills togetherness and keeps each other motivated in a friendly competition. With sponsors and volunteers from around the community (and lots of fun door prizes) this event is always a blast.

Pizza & Planes with Dads 

A Rice favorite, Pizza & Planes is an annual free event held in January where students and fatherly figures (whether that be a dad, uncle, brother, grandparent, or family friend) can come together for a meal and fellowship with others. Students and their adult will build a paper airplane and then test it's ability in a flight competition against classmates to win prizes.

STEM @ Home Kits

Rice PTA offers take-home STEM kits to our Rice Rangers periodically through the school year! These kits are made of materials and instructions sent home with students as a fun way for families to engage in STEM activities together. The kits will have 2-3 simple activities that spark creativity and learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
