Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! We have a very active PTA at Rice Elementary that works to create a thriving community of fun and support for our students, families and teachers which we know directly improves student learning!

What is the PTA? The Parent Teacher Association is focused on making every child’s potential into a reality by strengthening their education. The PTA is made up of members (you, me, US, all parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, students, our principals) who work together to make Rice Elementary the very best it can be for ALL students!

What does the PTA do? We advocate for our children, provide ways for families to engage in their child’s education, and help make Rice Elementary a fun place to learn! The Rice PTA hosts several events for our students and the whole family such as Family Fun Night, Splash Day, Pizza and Planes, Fun Run, Fifth Grade Fun Day, Restaurant Nights and more! We sponsor the Reflections Program, Recycling program, STEM kits for kids, create the Yearbook, and intentionally recognize our teachers and staff and their amazing efforts. We also celebrate! This past year, the Rice PTA donated over $18,000 towards the school to provide two bottle filler stations, a Grade Level Literacy Lab and many teacher requests for enhancing the classroom experience for students.

How can you help? We need your support! Our children succeed when our parents get involved in their child’s education. Volunteer your time, talents, connections, or donate!  Please join the PTA on this website and be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities.
