Welcome Parents, Students and Friends to our Read-a-thon!

This year, we are excited to host our 8th Read-a-Thon fundraiser, bringing our students together with family and friends to encourage reading and to build literacy skills. All the funds raised go to support our students and faculty at Rice Elementary. For example, our past Read-A-Thon fundraisers were able to fund the purchase of Hydration Stations, Air Purifiers for every classroom, Playground Features and Sound Equipment for our Cafetorium!

Our 2-week reading adventure will run September 16th-30th.

• Reading sessions will be completed during the school day & recorded by their teacher.
• Donations are not performance based, meaning that students do not have to read a set amount of time to earn. A donation simply says ‘I believe in you.’  
• Awesome individual, class and school wide prizes.
• You can also sign up to be a Guest Reader to show your support.

Your involvement in the Read-a-Thon will help your child develop a lasting love of reading. We hope that each of you will participate and show them that you believe in their reading goals. Let the fun and exciting journey begin!
